İngilizce ağırlı sınıflarımız

Okulumuz bünyesinde açılan ve en fazla 20 öğrenciden oluşan ingilizce ağırlıklı ders veren sınıflarımız bulunmaktadır. Bu sınıflarda derse giren ve tamamen ingilizce konuşan öğretmenler mevcuttur. Yurt dışından gelen ve hiçbir şekilde Türkçe konuşmayan öğretmenimiz sayesinde öğrencilerimiz bir yerden sonra sorularını dertlerini ingilizce anlatmaya başlıyorlar. Yüksek teknoloji ile donatılmış bu sınıflarda etkin listening(dinleme), etkin speaking(konuşma), etkin reading(okuma) çalışmaları yapılmaktadır. Öğrencilerimizi bir adım daha ileriye taşıyan bu uygulamadan velilerimizde memnunlar.

CONVERSATİON

 

Hakan: Hi! Welcome to our school, first of all. Our students know you as "yabancı öğretmen". Can you give us your full name, please?

Jonas: Hi! Thank you very much. I'm Jonas Kyomo.

Hakan: Jonas, nice to meet you. Where are you from?

Jonas: I'm from South Africa.

Hakan: How long have you been in Turkey?

Jonas: For four  years.

Hakan: Which university did you graduate from?

Jonas: I graduated from Istanbul University.

Hakan: What did you study?

Jonas: I studied Mathematics.

Hakan: Oh, that's good. Then, why did you prefer teaching English? And why did you choose İstanbul?

Jonas: English is my primary interest and I chose İstanbul because I love Turkey and I love İstanbul. Turkish people are kind.

Hakan: Where are you staying in İstanbul?

Jonas: I'm staying  in Kozyatağı with the South Africans.

Hakan: Why didn't you choose tol ive with Turkısh people?

Jonas: I lived with them for a while and then I moved. Living with them was good. I taught them English and they taught me some Turkish words like "merhaba, inşallah". (He lauhgs.)

Hakan: How do they treat you as a foreigner? Have you encountered any inappropriate behaviours?

Jonas: No, not really. Only  the Turkish people are curious. They want to learn more about me. There aren't any rude behaviours.

Hakan: I'm happy to hear that. Well, have you visited ant other cities in Turkey?

Jonas: I've been  to Uludağ, Bursa. I loved being there.  And I have plans for future travels in a long period of time.

Hakan: How is it going with project classes?

Jonas: They are both good. The girls are silent, they are active in class, too. At the beginning, they were shy but they used to it.

Mr. Arıç helps me a lot in some issues. He taught me to say "Bismillah" when I enter to the class. (He laughs)

Hakan: If you keep on this communication with him, it wii not take too much for you to be a Muslim=)

Jonas: (Helaughs): Maybe. Actually, I'm searching for Islam and Quran.

Hakan: Hope you find all the answers to your questions in mind. Well, Jonas, do you have plans for going back to your country one day?

Jonas: I miss my country as my family lives there. I'm visiting them whenever ı have the opportunity. But for now, I have no plans for returning. But you never know what future brings.

Hakan: Ok, Jonas. Thanks a lot for your kindness tol et us know more about you.
